So yesterday, the Dr. told us that Isaiah may be able to come home on Sunday. I am so excited! He of course has to take all his feeds by mouth which he has been doing a great job of. He also has to maintain the O2 level he had while at home. He also has to not be deep suctioned for 24 hrs.
Dr. Edwards called again today to tell us he's still possibly going home tomorrow even though he was suctioned out this morning. I can't wait to go see little man. Well, he's getting so big! He looks just like a newborn baby now. And he's staying awake a lot longer now. Oh boy!
Yesterday, the Dr. confirmed that there was indeed a 3rd hole. It's in the Atrium. So he has a PDA, VSD and an ASD (Atrial Septal Defect). Dr. Carlson never mentioned this to us. Maybe it's not very big right now? Maybe she thinks it will close on it's own? I don't know. But Dear Lord, can little Isaiah get a break? His little body is still so fragile. He's a fighter and I know he will keep on fighting. We will be right there beside him rooting him on!
So what are his issues?
Hypoxia, Pulmonary Hypertension, Chronic Lung Disease, PDA, VSD, ASD.
MJ hung out with his buddy Sterling today. I heard they had a great time. They played the whole time. When he got home, he was ready for bed. I didn't know that by him telling me that or by him going right to sleep. He was being very cranky and disobedient. He ended up getting in trouble so mom took him upstairs and put him in the bed. He did go kicking and screaming of course. But hey, he went right to sleep when Antwan got him. He's still my little baby.
