Isaiah went to the cardiologist last week, Feb. 25th.. Things look like his lungs may be starting to mature a little. The amount of blood flowing into them has increased while the pressure has remained the same. On the other hand, the left side of the heart looks to be more distended. Like it's working harder to pump blood to the body. Because of this, Dr. Carlson has decided to go ahead and schedule surgery sooner rather than later. The date is Tuesday Mar. 24th with pre-op on Monday the 23rd. Grandmom will be here on Sunday the 22nd. She will be helping out for when lil man comes home. Yeah for Grandmom's!
I really hope that the lungs are getting better and that this surgery will be the upwards momentum he needs. Dr. Carlson has up'd the dosage of Sildenafil (aka Viagra). Not sure if the sildenafil is making things better, time, or a combination of the two. Either way, we are praying this surgery will help things further things along.
